Mica Membrane
Mica Membrane is an award winning artist focusing in public speaking, cosplay, and drag. Mica has been cosplaying for over a decade and has been dancing for almost three! (They are older than they look!) After cosplaying for so long, Mica decided to add drag to the mix and became the first AFAB performer to win the title of Mr. Oklahoma Bold & Beautiful Newcomer and is your current King of Tulsa Pride. Mica loves to make jokes, meet new people, and share their love of nerdy culture. They find the intersection of cosplay and drag freeing and they hope to show others that not all drag is scary.

L.L. Killjoy’s Cosplay Spectacular Drag Show and Queer Celebration
Join us Friday evening to celebrate the last day of Pride month and the first day of Soonercon with a cosplay drag show starring some of your favorite local drag artists! This show will feature games, dancing and DRAG! Rated PG-13 for cartoon horror and underwear worn on the outside. Tips accepted!

Trans, two-spirit, and nonbinary cosplayers face unique challenges in the costuming world. Issues like dysphoria, body and/or ability shaming, and misogyny can be barriers to support and enjoying the art of cosplay. How is queer identity and acceptance being positively represented in the costuming community? What's being done to encourage the community to be more inclusive?
