Billy West

Musician, one-time DJ, and voice actor Billy West was a cast member of The Howard Stern Show where he was noted for impressions of pop-culture characters. His first video role was for the 1988 Beany and Cecil revival. Over the five years of The Ren & Stimpy Show, he voiced both characters. His Futurama characters include Phillip J. Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg, and Zapp Brannigan. He was the title character on Nickelodeon’s Doug, 1991-94.

West has also voiced for advertising campaigns, including Screen Gems Network and Comedy Channel, as well as the Red M&M and Buzz the bee of Honey Nut Cheerios.

For 1996’s Space Jam, he voiced both Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, with follow-up roles in subsequent movies and series. He’s provided characterizations for over a dozen video games as well.

His band is Billy West and The Grief Counselors. He finds it funny that his Futurama Nixon-in-a-Jar character may be seen at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.
